The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary:

The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the oldest sanctuary of Assam.. Garampani sanctuary spread over 6.05 sq km was recognised as a forest reserve in 1952.  The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is located within the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council area. This sanctuary is famous for hot water springs and home land for Hoolock Gibbons and Golden Langurs, The sanctuary is rich in its bio-diversity. Some rare birds can be seen in Garampani Wildlife sanctuary. Garapani in the local language means ‘hot water’ and wildlife sanctuary is famous for its warm springs and waterfalls by this name.

The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is full of rare and endangered flora and fauna. The atmosphere of this sanctuary is moist tropical. The vegetation of saturation is tropical semi-evergreen. The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary offers accommodation for a wide variety of wild animals and birds.
